John M. Weeks Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana was born on March 27, 1962 to John M. Weeks Sr. and Sandra Jean (McGuire) Weeks. He passed away at the age of 53 on October 3, 2015. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1980, and then got his Associates Degree in Electronic Technology from ITT.
John worked for Fanimation, Inc. for 10 years and was a dedicated employee. He worked so hard to support his family, which was the most important thing in his life. He worked multiple fundraisers to help his children participate in the sports they loved. He was the biggest cheerleader for all his children, nephews, nieces, and even their friends. He always had his camera and took tons of pictures, not just of his children, but of their friends and teammates as well. Music was another of his hobbies, although it was mostly set aside because of time constraints. He played guitar, mandolin, baritone, and trombone; pretty much anything he touched.
John is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lori Susan (Chipman) Weeks, his 7 children, Darci Ferguson (Jeff), Caitlin Weeks (James), John ‘Casey’ Weeks, Kiernan Weeks, Camryn Weeks, Taryn Weeks, Tahni Weeks, and 3 granddaughters Lillith Hampton, Quinn Ferguson, and Eleanor Ferguson. He is also survived by his two sisters Dawna Morrissey (Chuck) and Vickie Letro (Dave), multiple in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, John and Sandra Weeks.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 12:30pm at Old Oaklandon Cemetery off Oaklandon Rd, south of 75th St. There is a reception afterwards at The Gymnastics Company East. 8320 E. Brookville Rd. 46239. There is a GoFundMe account set up for Lori and the kids.
